Apart from the 643 Jews from Berlin, a large number of Jews from the government district of Frankfurt / Oder were deported to the Warsaw ghetto with the 12th Osttransport from 2.4.42. The Berlin transport list lists 659 names, 16 of whom were deleted. A transport list for the Frankfurter Juden has not been preserved, but it is clear from the statistics of the Reichsvereinigung that in April 1942 a total of 367 Jews were deported from the Regierungsbezirk Frankfurt / Oder. Therefore, it can be assumed that the total strength of the transport was 1010 persons. Adam Czerniaków, chairman of the Warsaw Jewish Council, noted in his diary entry of April 5, 1945: “Around 825 deportees arrived from Berlin.” [A. Czerniaków, In the Warsaw Ghetto, Munich 1986, 240].
